Happy Thursday!

Good Morning skanky knot h*es.  I hope you learned something last night and today we'll give puppy and rainbow WR ONLY advice to the masses.

Seriously though, I'm so glad I missed all of that!

Re: Happy Thursday!

  • Dammit!  Why am I in the completely wrong timezone?!  BOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  • OP sounded psycho.  Why was she recruiting her?  It was really bizarre.
  • Amoro - When I was about halfway through the post I was thinking to myself this would have been so much better with Amoro wrapped up in it.
  • Momo, I thought of you last night (in a very non creepy knottie way) and wished that you were there!
  • I would like to start a tally of how many times in this week people will use the word "bitty's" or derivitives of said word and how many times people reference "whorey vaginas falling off", because they are already annoying to me.

  • Ugh, I got through page 4 and then just skipped to the end.  What a crazy loon!

  • Oh yes, it would have been much more fun if I had been around.  See?  You guys may not love me, but you sure do miss me when I'm not here! :D
  • Dani - Did you happen to catch the part where she said she was engaged to the creator of the wedding wire?  I'm sure it's made up, but for the sake of avoiding senseless wedding wire drama, I just thought I'd share that with you as moderator if there is something you wanted to do about that.  It was closer to the end (page 7 or 8 I think).  I really enjoy the feisty over here, but this sort of drama gets so over obnoxious really quickly and a WW argument is at the bottom of my lists of things to encounter.

Yeah, I saw that and ring_pop had actually already read the whole thing and e-mailed me about it.

  • Awesome.  I should have known you were on top of it.
  • Oookay, and what's with everyone telling the OP of that Scottish psycho family to just  do what the FIL's want??  What a bunch of bad advice last night.
  • Good morning! Wow, what I missed last night! That's what I get for going to bed early with my husband.
  • Wow, I'm sad I missed that. I only got through page 2 and then I got lost..
I got flamed my first time posting, but I learned a lot. For normal rational people, it helps. BTW, there is now more snark here than on the Snarky Brides board and that makes me sad. It has become the whiny puppies and rainbows board.. grrrr!

    Good Morning y'all!!

  • Happy Thursday!

WTF happened in here last night? LOL I went to bed at 8 because for some reason my ankle stopped working yesterday (bizarre story) and missed all the fun. Dangit.
I told the scottish FILs chick that she should sit the parents at the head table, waaaaaaay down on the end with the kids. She could even do a mini kids table sticking off the end of the head table with tiny chairs for the ring bearers and in-laws. I thought it was pretty good advice...
  • I only got through the first page and then skipped to the last page.  OP was crazy; that's all I really needed to know.

Oh see, the joking stuff I had no issue with, but the get over it ones were just plain annoying.
  • Good morning.  I'm so glad the week is almost over.

I missed the drama last night and read the first 2 pages.  I might have to try and catch up on it later today.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • I think that BSC biddy OP is a dude. Or seriously gender-confused as well as sanity-confused.
  • Good morning!  I agree with betrothed, I wish it was Friday instead of Thursday.  This weekend needs to get here sooner.

  • I'm so glad to see that 'grabbing popcorn' is back in the vernacular.

On second thought no I'm not.

Cew - if you see this I love that you brought back the whore siggy! :)

  • Good morning! I'm want to sail away on the wishing it was Friday boat.

And I'm not going to lie. That lady from last night scares me.

Vally! I'm so glad you are happy that I brought my V-day sig back.

Good morning, chicks. I'm glad I missed that stuff. Stupid is hard enough to handle during the day when I'm hopped up on caffeine.

I, too, wish it were Friday. It's my co-worker's birthday, and if I hear one more person SING TO HER, I'm leaving.

  • Morning everyone.  I'm going to donate blood at a work blood drive in a bit.  Woo free cookies!  Also someone is retiring which means free lunch.  I'm trying to stay positive.

People actually do that where you work?  I thought that sort of thing went out in elementary school...

I don't know why but that all made me chuckle.

I feel like crap today, so I'm trying to do actual work and listen to music to try to make it all better and go by faster.  It doesn't help that it's dead in here!!

I have the sniffles, but my body hurts so good from day 2 of 30-DS.  I think I will tape a picture of my wedding dress on the fridge as motivation every time I think about opening it ;)

I do have a funny story about my grandma, it might make you chuckle.  I was telling her how I didn't go out much by myself in San Fran, and so we began talking about safety and quality of the city, etc.  She says something like, "The first time we went there, we saw some very high class prostitutes on the street corner. Several years later when we went back, they were really trashy prostitutes. So, that's when we knew the city was not so good anymore."  I laughed SO HARD. :)

ETA: my gma is typically very reserved, as in I could probably count on one hand how many times I've heard her swear, and at that I doubt I've heard her say anything other than hell or damn.  So, hookers were a little bit of a surprise!

  • I only witnessed part of last night, but holy hell. Even read part of it to J when he got home and he was highly amused. I think even the pup had some back talk for her.

I knew I saw a full moon driving home.

  • Good morning!
Jesus lord, I'm catching up from posts from last night. This place is crazy as of late.
I'm really glad it's Thursday, because Friday is within reach. Longest. week. ever.

  • Good morning love!

Yes that thread made for an interesting read with my morning coffee... by far my favorite part was her State of the Union address.

  • Morning ladies! Gosh, I pick one night to stay off the Knot and watch Titanic with FI, and all hell breaks loose. Oh well, it would have been fun.

Not sure what we're up to today. We're working on cleaning his apartment and setting up his new stereo, and I think at some point I'm going to give in to seeing the Book of Eli even though I'm resisting (I feel like I see enough movies like that during the summer). Then I think I'm going to make him let me teach him swing dancing, because tomorrow we're going down to the rifle range and I think we should do one girly thinhg for every manly thing that we do.

    Life is all about compromise.
