So, I like this AE for work stuff. I'm super paranoid about someone finding me since I have quite a few engaged co-workers.
My initial contract is up in Dec. At this point there's a 50/50 chance of me getting rehired. But you know how miserable I am with my co-worker. I love the work I do, but it's a stressful environment.
H got a job offer out of state awhile back. We couldn't take it because of his school, but that was the ONLY thing holding us back. It got me thinking...why don't I apply to jobs out of state? As long as I look at places that have a program for H, it would work. I can't take a pay cut since I'll be the only one working so H can go back full time. He's at a point now where he can transfer credits without it setting him back too bad, but he can't continue to do the night class thing as he's running out of electives and what not.
So, 1, am I crazy for wanting to just pick up and move? As long as I have a job waiting for me, moving anywhere doesn't scare me.
And 2. I'm still fairly fresh out of college. I was so incredibly lucky to find this great job right out of college. So I'm seeing these jobs that aren't exactly what I do. But my degree is so broad that it fits. Like, I meet the degree and experience requirements, but I've never done the job before. That part scares me. So should I try to stay in the exact field I'm in, or branch out just a touch?
