make up for bridesmaids

Who pays for the make up and hair for the bridesmaids?  Do they pay for it themselves or does the bride?

Yep, totally agree. 

I told my girls they are welcome to make hair and makeup appointments but that it is totally optional. If they do choose to do so, be sure that you arrange coordinating appointment times. Like if you all go to the same place, don't all book with the same stylist.

If you want to pay for their make-up, that's fine.   I've been in weddings where the bride let us know a make-up artist would be available for approx $X ammount, and to let her know if we wanted to use her so she could make the arrangements.   That way anyone who wanted to get done up could pay for it themselves, and anyone who didn't want to, or was on a budget, could just do it themselves.

I paid for my make-up/ hair to be done when I was MOH for my best friend. I plan on having my BM/MOH pay for their own if they want it done professionally. To be honest, we just can't afford to pay for it with 5 BM and 1 MOH.

I'm having my BM's and MOH pay for their own hair, but i am paying for them to get their makeup done. I felt it was something different, and not something you have the opportunity to get done all the time
