FI and I made the guest list last summer...our list was a little big for our budget and had to make a few cuts. Fast forward a few months and we send out our invitations. My FI's friends all talk to each other and are excited about the wedding and plan on coming. Well due to budgets we had to cut some of his friends. Well one of the friends found out the invitations went out and that every one received one except him. FI cut him first for quite a few reasons. So the friend decided to call FI up and was like whats the problem and asked about an invitation. FI explained that due to budget issues we could not invite everyone and that the friend should have understood since that was the excuse he gave FI to not invite him to his wedding. FI also told him that if we received some no responses that we could be able to send an invitation. I know B-Listing is bad...but now it is a little too late to be able to do anything since FI already talked to him about it. Any ideas on how to handle this?
