I was at my cousin's wedding a couple years ago and the bride was on a "MY DAY" kick the whole time.  She had a wedding dress that she bought used that didnt fit her and was a nightmare from the 80's.  My mother works magic with a sewing machine, altered the dress to fit her and re-worked it to be a spaghetti strap instead of HUGE 80's sleeves.  She didn't even tell my mother "thank you" when she picked it up.  

Then, during the reception, her and my cousin were having their first dance (to Garth Brooks "Unanswered Prayers") and her mother and the mother's boyfriend started dancing about halfway through the song.  The bride pulled away from her new husband and SHOVED her mother back to her seat.  It was so tacky.  If I hadn't been holding a sleeping child, I would have grabbed my brother and started dancing.  Then hit her if she tried to push me.  All I can say is thank gods that he came to his senses and the divorce is final as of two days ago.
