We live in FL but will be getting married at my fiance's sister's home in VA. The vast majority of guests will be traveling to attend our wedding. If we have a late morning or early afternoon wedding, are we obligated to make sure our guests receive a full meal in "exchange" for their making the trip to attend or can we do lots of appetizers, cheese plates, crudite, fruit, sandwiches, etc without breaking etiquette? I am thinking lighter fare would fit into our smaller budget better than a full buffet, but I don't want to be inappropriate! I know I personally would not care but then again, I am not easily offended.
