ideas for step-mom involvement

hi,

my step-mom is helping my fiancee and i pick out the wedding cake. i think i will go with her (just us two) to scope out some places, then with the ones we like - my fiancee will come along. my fiancee and i are purchasing the cake.

i'm trying to find another way to get her involved, without steping on anyone's toes. my mom and step-mom do not get along. my future mother-in-law is taking care of the flowers. dress has been bought, bridesmaids - done. i'm meeting with my sister-in-law to go over my nieces' flower girl dresses...

any ideas?

I think that list is fine. You don't have to have someone accompany you to EVERY appointment. I included my FMIL in the DJ meeting, cake tasting and had her over to approve her side of the guest list before invitations went out. That was enough.

Do your favors require any assembly? If so that might be a good idea for a short project. My bridemaids helped me stuff my little jars with candy and put personalized stickers on them, but that could easily have been a task that anyone who wanted to help could join in on.
