Why won't it work? Techies please enter.

I'm trying to make this pic apart of my sig.  I copied it into paint, edited the portion I want and saved it as a .jpg.  Saved it to a website to be able to copy the properties.  When I update my profile, none of the pics work and I end up with a red dot.

What went wrong?

When you copied the properties, did you make it into a tiny url on tinyurl.com and then put it in your siggy that way?  I'm assuming you want to make it a siggy pic?

I didn't make it a tinyurl - my current pic isn't either.  (I can't access tiny url from work).  Yeah, I was trying to make it a siggy pic.

Okay, try putting this in your signature but take out the *s before you click save.

You might have to log out and back in or at least give it several minutes to update.

Eh, whatever.  It shows up as my avatar now.  That's good enough.

So make sure the URL you're using actually translates to a URL of the pic (just copy and paste it into an address bar).

Here's how I upload my sig pic:

Take out the stars. For some reason if I don't include that period (or something in between the img tags) my sig doesn't show up.

There may be a different way to do it, I'm not sure...I also use the nest/bump to update my siggie b/c I find it easier to work with.
