I love my wine.

Re: I love my wine.

  • It was fun, KJB!  It's a good work out too.  Well at least I use it as a half-assed excuse for a work out. :)

  • no drinking here (yet).  I played hooky and stayed home.  I figured with all the extra hours I put in on our play I deserved it.  My boss knows and totally doesn't care.  I managed to sleep in, get a massage, and do some housework so I actually have clean clothes to wear to work this week.
  • Sweet. I've stared at the Bed Bath and Beyond registries so many times I have a pretty good idea of what I want. I figured I can get a good portion of it knocked out online so it'll be easier to get FI to go into the store. :)

Another question, does it look gift grabby to have 3 registries? FI wants to do a Sears registry and I was considering doing Target or Macy's as well, but we can keep it to two if it looks bad.
  • I'm having a beer and just had Hungry Howie's delivered... trying to decide if I should go for the pizza or the Howie Bread first. What a choice.
  • I definitely need to find more fun workout things.  Especially for my arms, they are in desperate need of help.

  • AK-- I've been good--almost done with my first year of law school. But so incredibly burnt out from it all. :)

Oh yeah, and as another AW for anyone who cares, I got a job for the summer! I'm pretty excited.

Mmm Hungry Howie's!  Most of the ones around here closed. :(

Birdie I think 3 is a good number.  I wouldn't go more than that.

  • Birdie- we had 3.  I don't think it's gift grabby.  Macy's had more of the expensive stuff like our china so there wasn't a whole lot of stuff on that one.
  • Yay musical! What will you be doing?
  • Birdie, we just had the 1 registry but it was more for my own personal organization than anything. A few people told us we should register at a "more expensive" store too, but I figured if anyone wanted to spend more than the "more expensive" things we registered for at Target, they could probably figure something out on their own.
  • KJB-- It's definitely a good arm work out, if anything!

    Congrats, Musical! :)

  • Ok sweet. FI's really excited about the Sears registry. They don't do online shopping though, which sucks.
  • Musical- congrats on almost being done with year 1! And the new job!! :) If I hit the lottery and quit my job, I've seriously considered going to law school.

Fezz- H and I went the whole last 3 years without Hungry Howie's. I think we've ordered it four times now in the last month since we moved here. Haha!

I'm working for the same company that J & his dad both work for. His dad has been working there for about 30 years, so he was the one that secured me the job. It is a company that manufactures & supplies corporate awards, magnesium dies & braille signage. I'll be working in the finance department (I think--still clarifying that when I go in next week for a meeting), probably doing a lot of spreadsheet/computer related organization stuff. Since it's a 40hr paid job, I will be able to volunteer pro bono legal work to build my resume as well. :)

  • Birdie, I think 3 is fine, especially if they all have different things.  We had friends who registered at Target, Macy's and BB&B and they registered for all the same things.  It was weird to have two nearly identical registeries from three stores.  I assume the Sears registery will be tools and things?  I think that'd be awesome to have and wish we'd thought of it.

  • Ugh we'd be ordering all the time too if we still had one close enough!  Such a bummer.

I've seen this too, and that was exactly what we wanted to avoid.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

  • Yep the Sears registry will be mostly all tools. I got the idea oddly from my ex-boyfriend. It's the only registry FI is excited to do. :) I figure we'll go through BB&B and then if there are any left overs after that, we'll look in to Target or Macys. Right now I don't think we're going to do China.

It's only the best flavored-crust pizza you can get delivered for under $10! Haha.

  • We had a registry at Macy's and at Crate & Barrel. I didn't do Target because of all of the horror stories.

  • OK, I just opened the pizza box and actually clapped my hands. I think I need help.
  • You ladies are all so classy with your wine. Makes me feel like a degenerate with my coors light (3rd one at that).

Ciaram - how are you feeling? (Am I the 1,000,00,000,000,000 person to ask you that this week?) :)  I've been thinking about you this week!

  • ...flavored crust?
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • Fezz you guys need to get one soon. With their online ordering, you can get 2x or 3x the flavoring on the crust. Multi flavors per pizza if you wanted.
  • clapping is completely acceptable when opening pizza boxes. :)
