  • Aw, I can't play. All my pics are at home.

But everyone's orange Tabby's are making me melt. Makes me think of my little Leo at home. Probably terrorizing the dog who's stuck in his crate.

Here's a cute one of them I snapped getting ready for work a month or so ago:

  • My Whisky Sour. He's 14 and completely spoiled rotten.

  • Birdie and Annie: Your dogs are SO CUTE. So are everyone else's but I have a soft spot for Beagles and dogs with static fur.

I'm jeals of everyone with kitties. Fi is allergic so I'll never have them again Cry

  • Annie_Warbucks - he is ASTOUNDINGLY CUTE. What kind of dog is he?

H is also allergic to cats, but he's not allergic to maine coons, for whatever reason. I've heard (and this may be a lie) that maine coons are sort of hypoallergenic. We have one and he doesn't have any problems with her. And there were so many maine coons are the shelter too.
  • Aww thanks!! I am such a proud mamma. Teddy is a maltese / yorkie mix aka morkie. He's 5 months old on Saturday! I remember I posted a cry for help after first getting him b/c I was going crazy. We are better now :)

Here's little Mo. She was walking around FMIL's garden and got a petunia stuck in her hair. I don't think I could have put it in her hair more perfectly

  • Okay last one and then I'm done. This is Otis at FIs office. He has his own bed there and gets SUPER excited to go. FI will take him in on Fridays and say "Do you wanna go to work??" and Otis will run to the door and wait to go. This is him working hard:

Me too! I get so jealous he gets to take him in with him. I used to bring him in at my old office and it was amaaazing.

Maratea: Fi wouldn't even let me chance it. It's the only thing I won't ever "win" on. No cats until Mr. L-Bride is dead. At least I have that to look forward to.

  • Oh Teej, why would someone not want cats?!

I don't have new cat pics on my work computer, but look at these guys I found yesterday. Look! (Too bad I already have 2 persians.)

Look at those copper eyes! I want a calico persian!

And this is her brother, Jay-Z:

They're a bonded pair. FI says he thinks all persians come in bonded pairs (ours did, and the website has several more pairs as well). AND you can tell them apart cause, uh, the calico is a girl. (Sometimes ours look very much alike.)

They're from a local persian cat rescue. They also have a cat for adoption named Prince Smooshface. He has a really bad lion cut! I feel bad for him because he's 12, so I think he'll be in foster care forever. But... we have a lot of cats already.

Maratea yes, Maine Coons and Norwegian Forest cats are sort of hypoallergenic. Technically they don't have as much of the amino acid in their saliva as other cat breeds. (The amino acid dries on their fur and that is what people tend to be allergic to).

TJ, that pic of Buddy holding Sheldon is RIDICULOUSLY CUTE. I am in larve with your dog. :P

This is an old picture, but it's the best one I can find at work (and she looks the same anyway). Taken on a hike, so Lola is a very happy and dirty dog.

  • Annie is yours a Brussels Griffon?
    Here's mine.

She got the fly caught between her paws that was buggin' her.

I've heard that some people will allergies do well with long-haired cats. Ironic, huh? Then again, my friend's BF came to my house when I just had Nimbus (a Norwegian Forest Cat) and his eyes were still watering, so... I've also heard that if you get them as kittens, you can sort of adjust to them and become non-allergic as they grow up. This applied to people with more mild allergies, who won't go into anaphylactic shock when they pet a cat.

L-Bride, that picture of Otis at the office is SO cute. My old coworker had an all-black pug, too.

  • Mery, those Persians are so cute! I would want to take them home, too. I want a short haired calico so bad it's not funny. MIL & SIL were at yard sale where someone was trying to adopt a few kittens as well and they had a calico. They called H to ask if I wanted her and H was so nice to actually let me consider it even though we already have a cat and a dog. Alas, I didn't get her because I was too afraid my dog would just think that I had gotten him another toy to play with.

And here is why we ALWAYS keep the toilet seat cover down (besides that I hate when it is up!)

Ha! My cats haven't done that, but I'm afraid they will, which is why I keep it down. And also because I'm afraid I'll drop my hair brush or something in the toilet.

I LOVE calicos. I had a few when I was younger, including one that was the best cat ever. She slept on my chest every night and was really pretty.
