Congratulations to all of the brides and grooms out there.
My question is a two-parter and I am seeking help with both. I am newly engaged and do not wish to have a bridal shower. I am in my late 30's, live my fiance, and don't need stuff. How do I politely tell my friends that I truly do not want or a need a shower even though it's traditional. Should I just say that my engagement party is in lieu of a shower?
Also, when you plan a destination wedding, do you send official inviations to all that you would plan to invite to a local wedding or just immediate folks.
