There's an off-board?

I knew there was an off-board when TK switched formats, but--I wasn't aware there was another one.

Anyone know about this super awesome off-board?

  • Almond - have a fabulous trip!  You deserve it.

Rach -    I know that that info usually shows up under avatars anyway, but be careful about announcing where people are from, especially if they have their info set to private. It could get you in trouble since it's personal information that they have not given you permission to post.

My dad lives in London ON! Maybe he created the offboard.
  • Wow, so I'm late to this party, but just catching up.  Re the offboard, I'm really not surprised.  There have been off-boards since I started posting here over 2 years ago (!) and like whoever else said it, I've noticed a lot of cliquishness (is that a word?) and a lot of regs who posted a lot suddenly not posting as much.  So I'm not surprised that there's an off-board.   And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that knotties who made an off-board talk about things that happen on the Knot.  I would expect them to I guess.

  • ::shrugs:: I am in a group with my friends from the Boston board. Not that we are talking about any one on E or anything, but it is not thuper thecret either. We just have a lot in common and talk about our own lives. You know, how friends do. We do talk about the knot often, but it is really no big deal. I am surprised not more people do this after being here so long and forming friendships.

I assume they do, I think they're just usually kept super secret.

Well, I guess should say I wouldn't be surprised if most of this people in this thread were on an OB  :)
  • Rach, I can understand why you de-blogged, but I also think it's mean to deprive me of pictures.  It's mean.  Meanie!

  • It's not that uncommon on another community forum I'm on. However, this forum lets you create private boards, and TK doesn't. That's actually one of my gripes about TK.

  • I'm definitely not surprised there are OB.  A lot of people have quit posting since the change-over.

Haha, you just showed up as Kasi80 with married pics under the avatar and everything! But then your son in the sig pic. It threw me way off.

    Wrong!.

I have been on offboards, that's no secret.  But I've never even heard of that one.

I can't believe off boards are such a big deal.

There's just somethings you want to discuss wth friends that you don't want the whole world too see.

[QUOTE] I will freely admit to talking to knotties off-knot, (REDFAIRY WAS AT MY WEDDING, BEEYATCHES!) but they're pretty much all year plus ex knotties who wouldn't even know who Rach is.

NOW I get all the offboard talk in FFF.  If it's not at the top of the list when I log in, I don't see it.
