My mom has basically been shoving a big spoon of guilt down my throat everytime I talk to her about having my sister as my MOH. In my family my sister and I are the only children, she is 30 (big age difference) and we have never had a good relationship. Not to mention she is sort of crazy. she has a daughter, and they just moved to FL with her husband (they just had a court wedding and are having a reception this summer, which she uninvited me to because I'm Christian. yup that happened). My sister hasn't said sorry for uninviting me, and didn't tell me if I was invited again. She also didn't make me her MOH, she made her old best friend from high school. So is it okay to not have her as my MOH? I really don't want to but my mom keeps pressing the subject and its really annoying. If it is socially okay to not have my sister as MOH, can someone give me some good reasons to elucidate for my mother?
