Getting Wedding Info from mother of the Groom

I asked for the information of family members from my fiance's mother and she gave me a list of only 13 people. I know there are a lot more and I am not sure how many children the aunt' and uncle's have. Everytime I ask she just says "Don't worry about it, they probably won't come". But, even if they don't I think it is still nice to invite. I think she might be feeling bad about not helping (money wise) so she does not want her family to be a burden. How do I get this information without being a pain? And how do i invite the cousins when i don't know how many there are? Would I say something like "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Children"?

Tell her the invites have to be out by this date if there is anyone else she wants to come.  If she doesn't have anyone, don't invite them.  Don't nag, that's not very becoming.

my FMIL also gave me a list of who to invite, and it is definitely lacking some of FI's aunts and uncles that I've met. however, that is the list she gave me, and that's the one I'm using. I wouldn't worry about it.

Couldn't your fi call his family members and get addresses, etc.? Does he want to invite these people?

Doesn't your FI know how many cousins he has?

And if he doesn't, that kind of begs the question... do you really need to invite them?

Here is the problem with that. There are family members on his side that he wants to invite just doesn't know their info. But, every time one of us asks for it she says "there is no point in inviting them becuase they won't come."
