Save the Dates

Good morning, I have a question for you.  We just got our save the dates back and we absolutely love them!  FI is a ticket broker so we decided to do concert ticket Save the DAtes.  We put a lot of thought into what we wanted it to say.  One tiny problem...nowhere on there did we put that we are getting married.  We called it the "Wedding Cake Rocks" tour (I know, we're dorks) but we are both into going to concerts and we love music.  And my favorite thing to eat is cake.  I'm just thinking we should have put "are getting married" after our names.  Am I over thinking this?   I mean everyone that gets one knows we're getting married so this should be obvious.  Thing is, it's too late now (unless I pay to make a change and reprinted) because they've been printed but I guess I'm just trying to reassure myself that I didn't mess it up by leaving out the fact that we're getting married.  Oops!  I've attached a pic (the top where it's marked out are our last names).

Thoughts?  Should I pay to have them redone?

Also, I realize this is not everyone's style :)

Thanks!

Re: Save the Dates

  • I think it's patently obvious that you are getting married and you don't need to change a thing.

Also, I think they are very cute.
  • I don't think you need to pay to have them redone.  Most people will figure out what it is, those that are confused will ask.

  • I think they're adorable.

And ditto Froggie - anyone that doesn't get it will ask.

  • I think it's pretty obvious. I wouldn't have them redone. It'd be another story if you left out the date. Then you'd need to have them re-done.

I think it will be fine.  Now that I think of it, I'm not sure we put anything like "Are getting married" or "wedding" on our save the dates either.
  • Those are awesome! I think it is very clear it's for a wedding.

And really what else do people send STD's for??? I don't think we've EVER gotten one for anything but a wedding.

I don't thind DD's actually SAY 'wedding' or 'are getting married' either ... now I have to go look! LOL

  • I LOVE them! I think the "tour" name makes it obvious that it's a wedding. Very cute, if I got a STD like that, I definitely wouldn't question it not being for a wedding.

  • They are sooo cute! I think it's obvious that it's for your wedding. Looking back on other save the dates I've received I don't even know if they said 'getting married' or 'wedding of ', I think it's just assumed that a save the date is for a wedding.

  • I feel much better!  Thank you :)  I'm glad you guys like them.  We are excited to send them out!

Those are adorable!  We did something similar on our STD's (used a football ticket set-up).  I just looked at it and realized that no where on there did we say that we were getting married.  But I'm pretty sure that saying "Save the Date" and a picture of DH and me gave people the hint.  No one called saying that they were confused.

    Good job at being creative!

ETA:  We did the same thing with the bar code and used our wedding date!  I love the details!!

<div>My school gave us STDs to send out for graduation. My aunt also sent one for my other aunts murder mystery 60th birthday party. But other than that, they're all for weddings. </div>

  • I have a friend who sent out a STD for thier 6 year old's bday party this summer.  Really?  I mean I know summer weekends fill up quick but I'm not sure you need a STD for that.  I could be wrong, as I don't have kids.

<div>That seems weird. And of course, everyone will plan their summer vacations around a six-year-old's birthday bash. Did they have a full-on carnival and ponies for the party?</div>

</div><div>The party is in August and I don't think it's going to be anything crazy.  I guess she figures people really will plan around her kid's bday.  Good luck with that!</div><div>
</div><div>Did I seriously spell their thier in my other post?  Nice.  I hate people like me.
