Invite Situation

We sent out our STDs last month.  Last week FI's cousin announced that she and her husband were getting a separating.  This is huge news in FI's family as this is first family member to ever get a divorce.  Because of this fact, I'm sure if they told the family about the divorce, they are not getting back together.  We obviously sent the STD to the cousin and her husband.  Who do we sent the invite to?  They probably won't have a divorce finalized by then, so they will still be married.  Just thinking ahead here.

I would probably wait for a while and let the dust settle, see where things are when you send your invites.

I agree to let the dust settle and see where your cousin is at with the whole thing. The social unit definitely shouldn't apply, but I would talk to your cousin when you get closer to the date.

Wait until closer to your invitations go out before you make this decision.  Maybe they'll get back together, who knows.  You have 5 months before you need to send them out; a lot could happen between now and then.

Definately wait.  DH's cousin has announced several times that she is divorcing her husband.  Not to make it sound flip because it was very painful time for her.  Things do change.  Personally I invite the family and skip the ex.
