To little or too much food?

Hey everyone, just need some opinions. Me and the FI and doing an H'dorves only reception. Thinking about the reception starting around 2:30 or 3:00pm.  How many little nibbles should I think about per person.  I have seen something that said to have 7-10 pieces for a lunch and 10-13 for a dinner, but this is more of a snack. Any suggestions?

2.5 hours. I assume there is no dancing, right?   Then I change my answer to 5-7.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Will there be booze? Make sure you have 10 if people will be drinking.
