The general concensus of using animals as props in a thread below made sense until someone brought up goldfish. I get the whole releasing butterflies and birds is bad because they'll die but goldfish seem like a different story.
I've been to a wedding before with goldfish centerpieces and I left with a new pet. Maybe I'm missing something but unless you're releasing the goldfish into the wild it doesn't seem bad to use them.
