Plus one plan & invite addressing

I had lunch with a girlfriend of mine yesterday. She told me that she was planning to bring her best friend (she is an acquaintance of mine, we've worked together a few times) to the wedding as her "plus one" instead of her boyfriend.

I'm okay this, as I've never met her boyfriend and I do like the girl that she wants to bring. However, I am unsure how to address the invite. My friend lives with her boyfriend of 4 years, so obviously I was planning to address it to both of them by name. But now that I know she isn't planning to bring him yet does plan to bring her friend, should I just address it to her and guest?

Please advise.

As long as you're okay with her doing this I would send it as "Ms. Friend and Guest" so she can still bring the boyfriend should things change.
  • Yeah, just put "and Guest."
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
