Invitation Wording Help!!!

So all of the invitations that my fiance and I like best have our names at the top however, my parents are paying for the weddnig so we want our invitation wording to show them hosting and include their names . . . I have no clue how to do this with out names at the top of the invitation.

Please Help!!

Re: Invitation Wording Help!!!

  • Can you show us a pic of them?  I doubt it will be difficult to change the wording.
  • Here is a picture of one of our favorites:

The wording is completely customizable but I don't think it would look right to have my parents names where they have the bride and groom's on this particular invitation.  If i have to I will end up picking a different invitation b/c I feel it is very important to recognize my parents on the invitation but I am hoping one of you fabulous ladies has a genius idea for me!!!
  • I really like those.  I thikn if you shrink the names and/or move them down just a little bit, you should be able to fit your parents' names above.
  • You should be able to ask the designer to include your parents names just above yours in the same font as the body of the invitation. They'd just need to add a little extra text box above your names for that. Shouldn't hurt the aesthetics of the invitation at all.
  • WOW can't believe I didn't think about that . . . I'll have to call the invitation people now and see if they can do that . . . no reason they shouldn't be able to right!!

    Thank you ladies!!!

Please keep other ideas coming too!!!  Laughing

  • Where are you ordering them from?  Like pp said, adding a small text box at the top with "Mr & Mrs Sarah invite you to witness the marriage of their daughter" and then your name to his name in the script and the rest of the details at the bottom.

Ordering from The American Wedding and I'm hoping they agree that the adding for a text box before our names is as simple as we all believe it is!
  • In the print font:
"Dad and Mom invite you to share in their joy as"
Now your names beneath that, maybe roughly centered on the page
"exchange marriage vows, blah blah blah"

  • I've contacted The American Wedding staff to see if they can accommodate my request so now we wait and see . . . fingers crossed!

OK so this is the response the company provided:

Thank you for contacting customer service.  Unfortunately, for this particular invitation, the format is only available as shown, with the bride and groom's names at the top, with the rest of the text at the bottom.  Feel free to contact customer service with any further questions or concerns.

So now it's back to the drawing board . . .

This is the best that I have been able to come up with - it's nowhere near perfect so please make any changes or just flat out tell me it doesn't work and I need to look for a different invitation if I want to use Bride's Parent's Hosting verbiage.
