bridal shower favors

I was looking at bridal shower favors and I was wondering who is supposed to buy them. Is the bride supposed to bring them or is that something the host does?

    I'm pretty sure it's something the host/ess provides.

    I was going to try to use mine as an example, but there weren't any favors at mine and no one seemed to miss them.

    If it's in their budget and they want to, the host(s) would provide them.

    The host provides them.  But they aren't really necessary.

    The hostesses of my shower did not have favors and I'm pretty sure that nobody missed them.

    Definitely the host. And I agree that they are optional. If you had something special in mind to distribute to your guests as favors, you could talk to the host about it.
