i saw another post about tipping vendors and just thought i'd ask this...
me and my fiance were discussing this the other day and we're not sure how it works with tipping the DJ. he doesn't understand why you'd tip them... after all your paying them a buttload of money for them to perform a task. so what is the tip for? it's not like tipping your servers and the wait staff... or the florist delivering and setting up flowers... etc... a dj is contracted to do a job. any input? after the discussion, i kind of get his side.
and i guess the same argument would hold for the officiant... we are paying her 600$ to officiate the wedding... i can't imagine we're supposed to tip her too? (we don't know her personally, this is what she does and we hired her to do this)..
any thoughts either way?
