Flower Girl and Ring Bearer

My fiance and I are hesitant about what to do for a FG/RB. I have two little half brothers of the same age but both are WAY too hyper to have as RB, one more so than the other. I really dont want to pick one and have the other get upset. And for a FG neither of us have female siblings or other family (or children of friends even) that are old enough to be a FG. Would it be weird to not have a RB or  FG?

  • Neither a FG nor a RB are necessary.  Just say you've decided not to have children in the WP and save yourself the headache.
  • We're not having a RB or FG.  Neither of us have young children in our families and none of our friends have kids.  I've been to enough weddings when the FG or RB has been a major distraction in the ceremony (screaming, refusing to walk down the aisle, crying), that I'm ok with not having either.
  • We had way too many kids to choose from too, so we didn't have a RB or FG at all.  I was happy with that anyway because I think kids in weddings are more trouble than their worth.  I definitely don't think couples should pick kids just to fill the roles.  If I were you guys, I just wouldn't have any kids in the wedding.

  • Picking 1 sibling but not the other with little kids is not a good idea Skip having FG or RB and then just have a picture taken with them so you still get the cute effect. The main job of FG and RB is just cute anyway
  • As an adult, with our generation, I've only been to one wedding with an FG, and none with a RB.  Not weird at all.
