I know we have talked about this before, and I have seen pics... but do you mind showing me more pics of your chiweenie? I really love them but Mike thinks they are dumb (he tries to be all manly sometimes). As you know we already have minpins, but I want to show him how freaking cute chiweenies are. Thanks!!

haha I think that is part of his problem Jess, he likes to convince himself our minpins are manly because they are the "Kings of the Toys."

Dani, we just mushed his two breeds together---when I got him 4 years ago, he didn't have a "name," because...well, he's a mut. So he's basically just a mixed Chihuahua and Dachshund.

lol I know right? Minpins are miniature pinchers (they look like mini dobermans) and chiweenies are a pretty new breed that are a mix of weenie dogs and Chihuahua...

Rach -  you know people are seriously breeding those dogs now? They are trying to get them accepted as a 'real breed' in the kennel association or whatever.

There's a "golden doodle" in our obedience class. She kills my head every Saturday. An hour long bark session.

She's bigger than Max and younger than him, and she's probably gonna "fail" the course....

He's pretty long, but not as short as a dachshund.

My cousins have a teddybear goldendoodle and she is the freaking cutest thing i've ever seen.

Oh I know!! I think he was just a mistake 4 years ago....but, it's really catching on!

I will say, however, that I think they only way the two breeds look good together when they are mixed, is when the puppy is 75% weenie dog and 25% chihuahua---or else it tends to look weird.

Andress - our first minpin was a little asshole until about 1.5 years.... he was jsut too dumb to get our rules. Now he is pretty perfect except for begging for food which is all my fault anyway. Our rescue minpin is nuts, but that is more because he was a abused. He has calmed down a lot though now that he trusts us but he hates other people. He is old though too and hard to teach new rules.

Well that gives me some hope then!  I kept telling H no on the minpins because I thought they had an obnoxious rep but he rubs it in that our dashchund is bad if not worse.  I agree, it definitely takes training and she's getting better but she's sooo stubborn!  We'd love to give her a friend soon :)
