  • She came to Little Rock recently.  I'm glad I don't work downtown, lol.  Actually, I don't think tickets sold too well for some reason.

Sarah Palin was just in hamilton lastnight. My mom positively HATES her, i think she has some kind of unhealthy obsession - she reads all of these anti-sarah palin blogs and message boards and is always talking trash about her. I made sure NOT to tell her that she was here or im sure she would have made me drive her there.

I realize that makes my mom sound crazy, but I think she just watches too much msnbc.

A professor at the university I work at is convinced that I look exactly like Sarah Palin. Every single time he sees me, he mentions it and tells whoever he is with. I think it's the glasses I wear and my dark hair? Who knows.

  • yeah, a lot of people in my county will be there.  I'm sure they're all pumped, there was a tea party thing earlier this week too.  I'm sure they're all revved up.

And its not like I'm a republican hater, I consider myself a moderate, but Sarah Palin and that stupid tea party just makes me want to rip my hair out.

you're way hotter than her, and not annoying.

  • I'm not really into politics, but I can't respect someone who quits their job because deep down they have higher political aspirations (from what I understand).

And it really bugs me that when people called her out on the expensive clothes thing during the campaign, she was a douche and wore crappy looking clothes instead.  That's so juvenile to me.

He has said it four times so far - and he chuckles as he says it. He thinks it's the funniest thing, and I just tell him that it's the dark hair, glasses, and nothing more!

  • Sucrets, that bugs me too.  You don't quit, finish your term.

  • Uggg, I hope it's nowhere near Oak Lawn are, cause that's where I'll be spending my day tomorow.  Construction sucks enough as it is, I can't even imagine her convoy driving around in circles...

  • Nope.  Peoria area.

  • She was about five minutes from my house last night. You should have seen the cops and media. There was a protester (yes, just one) and he brought lemonade for anyone who wanted to join him. Hilarious!
  • ha! that's awesome!  I would drink lemonade with him.

Actually not.  I'd just stay away.

So I take you're not going to go listen to the wisdom?
    Photobucket
  • No.  I'm going to paint my kitchen tomorrow.  I'd rather kill my brain cells with paint fumes than listening to her.
    Photobucket
  • Good call.  What color are you going with?  I love to paint.  Well, actually I hate to paint, but I love color.

  • I actually felt bad for the protester. I walked by and saw him and he was like, "there were supposed to be more people here! Nobody likes Sarah Palin!" yet the banquet facility was full to capacity. Poor protester. Just him and aaaalllllllll that lemonade.
  • She was in Boston the other day too.  I didn't want to go to the Common and see the people who came out to see her.

Sorry, I think she is horrible and a complete joke.  That people could take her seriously politically pisses me off.  I love smart women--why does this idiot have such a big stage?

I think the problem is sarah palin is that she is SO all over the media for this or that, that everyone is just curious as hell to see what she is "really" like in person. I think she will always bring in a huge crowd because of that. Shes just a celebrity though, I dont think she has any political chops.

Bill and Hilary Clinton and Obama also fall into the catagory of quitting a position to further themselves in politics.

    it's not that unusual.

ETA: And I am NOT a fan of SP!
  • She's a celebrity in the same way that Kate Gosselin is. Or Paris Hilton. I know she's got political ties, but she's spun it so that her politics are so completely on the back burner and now she's famous for a whole lotta nothing.
  • I tend to lean to the conservative side of most issues, and I really cannot stand her. Its not what she stands for that bothers me as much as how she spreads her message.

She lost any respect ( which wasn't much to begin with) I had for her when she resigned from her office. She stood to make more money with book deals and speaking engagements, and she sold her office out to make a buck.
