Uninvited Baby AND In-Laws???

I have been emailing friends, who have yet to RSVP, whether they are coming.
One of our friends, wrote back to say that they (husband and wife) and their baby would LOVE to come! And if it is okay if his in-laws (who I've never met or spoken to) come too.
I had written only the names of the husband and wife on the invitations (not the child's), hoping they would understand etiquette. When I had written the email, I had also written to ask if the husband and wife could come (never mentioning the child).I had hoped they would understand that we wanted a small wedding. They had one and we weren't even invited!
It may sound mean to some, but after having spent so much money on a videographer, photographers, etc. to make this wedding run smoothly, I don't really want it to be ruined by a loud baby. I've read horror stories of people's wedding videos having loud screaming children in the background.
For the in-laws, I can just say that there will be no room since we are trying to have a small wedding (completely true). How am I supposed to tell them politely that the baby was not invited?
