Realistic price for flowers

I'm meeting with a florist next week.  I'm going to need 6 centerpieces, 2 bouquets and 2 boutonnieres.  I'm thinking of using carnations in the centerpieces, carnations and roses for the bouquets, and carnations for the boutonnieres.  So, if asked my budget, I was going to say $450.  Does that sound reasonable, or will I get laughed at?

My thinking is my bouquet and bm's around $175 (combined)
Bouts- $25
Centerpieces- $40

This is my first meeting with the florist.

Check proflowers.com (click wedding) they have a 2nd tier vendor and you can use their prices as a guide.

What kind of centerpieces do you want?  If you are doing a simple "flowers in a vase" thing, that should be enough.  But if you want any of the taller-style centerpieces, those are more in the $100+ range.
