Save the Date Etiquette??

Hi All,

My fiance and I need to send out our Save the date's but I was unsure of 2 things:

1. it's a magnet.... is it cheesy to send out in a plain envelope?  

2. we had our engagement party in which we had the magnets already available and so those people at the party already presumably took their magnets.. do we need to send it to them again?

1. No, not at all.

2. Do you even know who took a magnet? You might wind up missing some folks if you don't send them to everyone.

Mine were also magnets and I sent them in the plain envelopes provided. Nobody made a peep. I love visiting friends and family and seeing these on their refridgerators though!

If you had an engagement party and did not track who took a STD then just send one to everybody. If they get a 2nd, so be it but if they didn't take one home in the first place then this is their chance.

1 - plain envelopes are fine... they'll end up in the garbage anyway

2 - send 'em to everyone. some may be receiving a 2nd one, but some may be receiving their 1st... either way, you'll get them out of your house!

We sent ours in plain envelopes.  No biggie.

We sent the accommodation info on a separate card with the magnet so they had the info they needed right away.

I’d send them to everyone.  You don’t want to miss anyone.  And if your magnet order is like ours, I still have a bazillion left over.

I have a question though - we sent ours out awhile ago,  I have 2 friends I thought I had sent them to, but just realized I didn't.  Do I send them now, wait for the invitation?  I sent them in Feb and we'll send the invitations in Aug.  I know I'm going to see them both soon, so I could just say something too.  I feel bad and it is AWKWARD!

To JSLEIK---- I personally don't think it would be bad to send them now even if you'll see them soon.  Also, August is two months or so away, so I'd send the magnets to them ASAP.
