Thank you notes

When we purchased the wedding invitations we also purchased Thank you notes with our married name on them. Is it ok to use these for shower gifts or should i purchase more for shower gifts and use the ones with our married names on them only after the wedding?

    Save the ones with your new name until after the wedding when it is, you know, your name.  You can get relatively inexpensive thank you cards in bulk (packages of 50 or so) at Target or Michaels.

    It's bad form to use your married name before you're actually married.  It's okay to use regular generic thank-you cards.

    Don't mail those TY notes until you're actually married.   Get plain notecards to use for the shower gifts and any wedding gifts you get before the wedding.

    Ditto PP's.  Target also has a nice selection of nice Thank You cards as well.  I actually used them after the wedding as well and had extras, so I'm using them for baby showers now too, which makes me so glad I have "generic" ones around.  Easy to just grab them when I need them.
