Why

I just ate a bag (small size) of Skittles knowing full well that they'd give me a stomach ache. Why do I do that to myself?
What are some things you eat that you know you'll regret?

Re: Why

  • Ice cream.

  • Sometimes I get a craving for sour cream with onion soup mix in it, with ruffles chips. It is my kryptonite. I will just eat it and eat it and eat it until its gone, and I always regret it. This is why I have not allowed myself to make it in over a year. I have no self control when it comes to home made onion dip and ruffles.
  • You do it because they are amazing.

  • Oh, and I ate Taco Bell tonight (sucret's fault). I kept seeing the commercials for the Taco Bell diet...and it sounded gross, so I got a regular taco.

    My stomach is angry.

  • mmm Nebb that sounds too delicious.
rach- the thing is, I don't even like skittles that much but sometimes I get cravings for them.
  • I like milk products (mmm cheese and ice cream), but they don't like me.  Thank you VERY much, lactose intolerance.

I also regret the box of Thin Mints I just ate.
  • It IS too delicious, thats the problem. Its best when you first mix it and the onion bits are still crunchy... but in order to properly take advantage of that you have to eat most of it when you first make it, which just compounds how awful you feel afterwards.
  • Taco bell.  I don't eat it all that often, but I love it AND regret it every time.

  • I'm so glad I'm not lactose intolerant. I feel bad for those who are :(
I can eat one McDonalds cheeseburger and be fine but 2? forget it.
  • McDonald's.  Sometimes I'll just totally be in the mood for it, and eat it knowing full well that I'm going to feel like a plugged up slob for the next 12 hours.

Thank God, I'm not the only one who does this. Other than that, my total weakness is Coldstone Ice Cream. I know I'm going to have an upset stomach afterwards, but it's so freaking good!
  • Mocha Frappuccinos from Starbucks.  I love them but damn my milk allergy.  I pay for it within minutes with horrific stomach cramps

I feel your pain. I had my first piece of pizza w/ cheese in YEARS the other day and thankfully, I was at home when I did. I paid for it.

Being lactose intolerant blows -- before I knew that my body was rejecting milk products, a breakfast of yogurt and lunch of (<em>gag</em>) cottage cheese equaled a trip to the ER.

    Suuuuper.  Thanks, milk.
  • Wow. Can't say mine is so bad that I've been to the ER. Yikes! :(

Lactaid pills are my best friend.  I don't have the crazy digestive issues from lactose, more just sharp stabbing pains (the docs initially thought that I was suffering from ruptured cysts... nope, just lactose intolerance) but these pills are awesome.
  • p.s. Sorry for the threadjack/ lactose intolerance talk.  Not necessarily the most entertaining subject in the world, obviously. :)
  • I can't take those pills. I've tried over the years and they do nothing to help me. :( Mine is more of a digestive/upset stomach problem.

Whenever I eat fast food anything, I can feel it clogging my arteries. I feel heavier and like there is pressure in my chest. But it is so yummy.

  • anything chewy. gum, skittles, sour patch kids.  too much makes my jaw lock and then all I can eat for 3 days is soup. Sour patch kids are my favorite candy too :(

  • I did exactly the same thing with skittles last week. I find if I drink a heap of water as I'm downing them, I feel much better. I've figured out ways to maximise my skittles addiction :P

Um yeah, I'm convinced any efficacy that Taco Bell diet has is due to the fact that you get diarrhea every time you eat their food, so it's almost like you never ate it!

For some reason, Starbucks hot chocolate gets me every time. But it's so tasty, especially the special flavors they had this last winter.

  • Jack in the Box. It can be so good, but I feel sick after almost every single time.
  • chinese or indian food, I always stop about 5 minutes too late, then I need to loosen up my pants! yikes!
  • a cheeseburger, mac n cheese (really cheesy), Ice cream..<I never eat anymore Frown
and I soo sooo  sooooooo want cereal right now. and I just know I can't deal with the pain it causes. I tried those pills as well, and they don't work well, all they do is delay the pain and affects.....

  • Chips and salsa.  Once I start eating, I seriously can't stop until I make myself sick.  Then complain while rubbing m tummy.  FI hates it when we go to Mexican restaurants.

  • Unless I am hungover  or drunk McDonald's will make me sick everytime.  It's so weird, how can something that makes me sick when I am sober/not hungover make me feel soooo much better when I am hungover.
