Do I tip my photographer?

And if so, how much? I'm trying to figure out my photography budget!

Really hard. But I wanna do that because I want you

Re: Do I tip my photographer?

  • Not if they are the owner of the business, which is generally the case for the majority of the photographers in my area. If your photog works for someone else, you can tip around 20% depending on how you felt he/she did.

  • Tips are always nice but never an obligation.   Even if they are the owner of the business.   It just signifies satisfaction for a job well done.   Their supplies, lens', and time is costly.  They are not making 100% profit just because they aren't paying an hourly photographer to do the job for them.
