Irrational irritations

What a way to start off a Monday, eh?  I figure, better out than in!

I'm irrationally irritated with H because he keeps asking me what I want to do today and I've repeatedly told him "I'd like to stay here and take a walk" but he doesn't "hear" this and instead hear's.. .who knows what.  So, I just want him to make a freaking decision without asking me.  He's asked 6 fucking times!  I DON'T CARE, JUST CHOOSE ALREADY.

  • I am irrationally irritated with people in my office asking how my Easter was.

Thank you Snippy I needed this.

  • Oh I'm also annoyed that my old landlord asked me what time close of business meant for me....she doesn't work.

  • Not sure if this is irrational or not but I just received an email saying I can't get financial aid for summer from the school so now I have to find another way to get a loan because if I don't take summer classes, I can't graduate on time.
  • I'm irritated that H came up with all of these rules for himself and what he wasn't going to do during Lent, and just assumed I was going to follow them.

No, I' went right onl drinking soda. And you bet your ass if there are Cadbury eggs in stores, I'll be eating them. I'll have none of your "no Easter candy til Easter" rule.
  • I don't want to be here today.  Which is sort of irrational, considering that it's probably the lightest work day of the week EVER here at work, nobody's here...but I just am so cranky and tired I want to be home in bed.

  • Aleigh, that's a rational irritation.

H asked me to wake him up at 7am.  Then he asked me to wake him up in 10 minutes.  I am not a snooze bar.
  • I'm irritated with my skin because it's irritated. My BC schedule got all screwed up, so I know it's because my hormones are balancing themselves out. It's still real fucking obnoxious though. I look like hell.

  • People spelling other people's names wrong drives me insane. I get bothered when people spell my name wrong when I spell it for them here in Chile (I don't care if you write Emili if you're guessing, but when I say E-M-I-L-Y do not get creative), and I want to slap everyone in the US who writes Rudolpho when they have seen it written (like when you're writing on my FB wall, and his name is right there for you to see the correct spelling). That's rational. But I think because that bothers me so much, it also now annoys me to see those kind of mistakes made on others' names. That's a little crazy.
  • I don't think this is really irrational, but our receptionist is doing stuff by the fax/copy machine that is near me... and she is snapping her gum and I want to PUNCH HER.  It's 8 am, JUST STOP BEING ANNOYING.

  • I'm irrationally irritated that I have so much to study for the next 3 weeks. I'm in school and this is what happens at the end of the semester, but I'm just especially annoyed right now for some reason.

I'm also (mostly rationally) irritated at the weather. It is getting better, but seriously, we had NO SPRING this year.

  • Mica, my H always stays in bed after his alarm goes off. I can't go back to sleep because I worry he'll fall back asleep and be late, so it ends up annoying both of us since every two minutes I say "honey, don't you have to get up?" This is especially fun on mornings like this morning, at 4:15.
  • I'm irrationally irritated that I got caught on the internet a few times in the last month and they told me to watch my personal usage - therefore I can't knot as much.  Doesn't my work know I have peeps to talk to?

  • I'm irritated today is a holiday here in the VI.  Don't they know I have stuff to do and this is my only day off until next week?

  • I set our bedroom alarm clock for 7:40 this morning, as kind of an emergency wake-up, since we both rely on our cell phones.  FI, whenever the hell he finally came to bed last night, apparently reset it for six a.m.  When it started going off (way the fuuck too early), I asked him why, and got "I don't know" as a response.

Thank you for depriving me of an extra hour of sleep, FI.  Thank you.

Yes it does!  I knew "the talk" was coming b/c I swear every time I'd click on something she'd walk in my office.  I even told her I knew she was going to talk to me about it.  She appreciated my honesty and said she really didn't care just to be less obvious b/c she didn't want anyone else to notice and take the issue to anyone higher up.
  • I'm dreading the no internet during work thing again this summer. The company I'm gonna work for does not have internet access in the office so I'm gonna be without TK for 3 months during the day, :( Well, I guess I can knot from my phone but it's not the same.

  • Another one.

I did a purge over the weekend.  DH went to take out the bag and found a shirt I put in there that he bought me a few years ago.  He was 'upset' I was giving it away.  Dude, my boobs are eff'n HUGE in that shirt, like the buttons are popping off huge (it's a polo type shirt).    Have you not noticed I never wear it?

  • I'm II at my orange.  It has so much white crap on it and now it's all stuck to my fingers and my fingers are sticky.  Other than that, it was rather tasty.

I'm II at Fl for keeping on delaying our meeting with our coordinator at the venue.  Apparently we have to go RIGHT NOW to look at an appt that sounds really sketch, but our wedding can wait.  UGH.

  • I'm irritated that I forgot to turn on my alarm for today and woke up 35 minutes late. I got to work on time no problem, but I have like 20 pages left in the book I'm reading and I really wanted to finish it before work today.

I'm also irrationally irritated my dad didn't send me the shipping information for the birthday present he ordered me. I have control freak tendencies and I need to track packages. Not knowing when it will get here makes me antsy.

I will be off of my BC in a few months. I have to wait until I have the test to make sure that the Essure is working. I know my face is going to do the FOOL!

  • I am so glad there is an Irrational Irritations thread! I get really irritated when I'm reading and someone says "What're you reading?" A) Thanks for interupting me. B) None of your damn business. Reading is very private for me, I don't know why.

Mr. P does this all the time. Also? He'll come into a room and say "What are you watching?" but he does it with this tone of disgust no matter what it is. I had a cooking show on in the background while I was reorganizing my closet on Saturday and he said "What are you watching?" in the same tone one might use if one stumbled on porn or blood and guts horror films. Dude, it was Ina Garten, no need to sound so disgusted.
  • Also, I get Irrationally irritated that my cousin refers to her kids on facebook as Boy#1, Boy#2 and Baby girl.

I feel the same way. Sometimes it also seems like people assume you're reading as a last resort because you are so bored and couldn't possibly find anything else to do, so by interrupting you they are doing you a favor or something. One of the big reasons I'm excited to get a kindle is so people can't see the cover of what I'm reading.
  • I'm irrationally irritated at my subconscious for hating me and sending me ridiculous dreams for several nights in a row now. First I turn away Thor the hottie, then I dream I'm giving birth (really? ugh), and now I dreamt that I was a crazy person (or believed everyone around me were devils or something) and went around cutting people with a knife. And then I died or something but went into a weird limbo that looked like a crazy big construction site where I spent the next hour or so running away from the mutilated guy trying to pry my eyeballs out of my head. I was exhausted when I woke up. WTF subconscious? Geez.

  • And now I'm irritated (although I think rationally) at this conversation I just had.

reporter: Do you need my email address?
me: No, it's in the system.
    reporter:...  janedoe@yahoo.com!
  • anna why is so hard for people to believe you ENJOY reading? I hate when people talk to me when I'm reading. I'm not bored, it's not a last resort, I WANT to be doing this now go away. I used to work with a woman who would deliberately talk while I was reading. One day she declared that I read "too much" and that it couldn't be good for me. She was an idiot. An obnoxious idiot. She also used to bring canned salmon in for lunch and laugh when I said the smell made me gag.
  • My step dad doesn't understand how my mom and I can both devour books in a day.  He is of the "reading that much can't be good for you" camp... ummmm???  I don't get it.

  • My BIL saw me reading the other day and asked why I bothered reading a paper book in the digital age.  WTH?
