Re: Hi Guys.

• daff, I stalked your bio the other day. I am jealous of your honeymoon.
• Rosie - we're starting Season 5 of The Wire this weekend. Good stuff!
• OWN - I think I'll definitely do the blanket idea. He likes one team and she likes another, which are huge rivals, so I'm not sure which side I'll choose. Maybe one for each. I never thought of tailgating/stadium ideas, thanks! I was just focusing on watching in their home but I do know they have season tickets and go to games a lot.

Well, she's having a cinderella-themed wedding and she wanted to put them in a lgass pumkin container (breathable, mind you, let's not be cruel) and put them next to the guest book. I think.

• One of our cruise stops was Roatan, and it was by far our favorite and we didn't even see much. I'd love to go back and explore it more.

[QUOTE]I personally wouldn't put a note. As a guest I would never think of taking a centerpiece unless it was offered to me and I know at our wedding non of guests took the centerpieces until we started asking people if they wanted them.

I have that on my netflix queue. I hear it's so good. I'm still watching Mad Men, though. That's also really good.

Speaking of fall cleaning, we had the house flea bombed yesterday. So I went home and did a bunch of laundry/dishes/wiping/cleaning for 4 hours. Fi went to the laundromat for 2 hours. BUT (knock on wood) I think it solved the flea problem and at least the house is clean.

The people who weren't vocally objecting to the whole animal cruelty thing were vocally objecting to the whole gross-rodent-health-code-violation-pooping thing.

And someone has actually gone to a beta fish CP wedding! I don't know if I could deal with that.

• Oh for god's sake, Mery, that CAN"T be true. That is horrifying to me, but then again I have a really unreasonable fear of mice.

Andress: hmmm. If you want to go with the home-viewing angle, maybe one of those small slow-cookers with a recipe for a good hot chili-cheese dip? Some serving trays/bowls? Glasses or mugs with their team logos? Foam "number one" fingers?

I love thinking of gift ideas - I'll stop now.

• um, i would love to organize your recipes. i love crap like that. this one time? i organized a couple of fishy's cupboards at her house, cause i love stuff like that.

also, yes, blonde highlights, dark roots only option is to go get highlights done. or you can get a full colour to match your roots but i don't recommend doing that at home.

This was the OP. She posted that she was looking for a few items:

A glass pumpkin with removable lid. We're putting 2 mice on our guest table to go with the cinderella them...i need a breathe friendly container that they cannot escape from. I cant find anything

Later:

they are only going to be in the container for a little bit, not worried about the smell. i wanted something that people would not forget about. The mice won.

My fave response:

Umm, you're the sort of person us animal lovers hate. Animals are not effin props that can be bought and returned like furniture.

OP's follow up:

]seriously calm down! i love animals...i assure u that the mice will be very well taken care of.

PS sorry you hate me
WOW...
If you dont like what im doing, dont post on it. No need to be snarky. None of us here are like that.

But then people found cute ceramic mice for her to use and it got better from there. Someone also said that the only thing that would stand out about her wedding in the minds of her guests would be pooping mice.

• I love the ideas, thanks! I think I'll go both routes and just fill the cooler with home and stadium things. I know they'll love it so I'm pretty excited.
• And yesterday we had another changing-you-last-name debate with someone piping in, "I talked to my FI and he was adament that if a woman doesn't want to change her last name, it means she expects the marriage will fail." Oh club boards. What a love/hate relationship.

• Dang. That's what I figured. Since it's headed toward fall time, I was going to have her tone them down the next time she did them anyway, so I guess I might just suck it up and get it done. It's really only noticable on the two strips around my face. I'd say strands, but they're wider pieces than that. I love how she cuts my hair, she's just so chatty that I dread having to sit there for over two hours.

If I had it in me to scan each and every one of my recipes and send them to you, I so would. I think I'll probably type them up while I'm at it because at some point, I'm going to make a family cookbook for the ladies in my respective fams (mom's side, dad's side, H's fam...) I'd planned to do that last year around the holidays and never got around to it.

Oh dear. I didn't think we were ever not friends.
Was I that nasty? I didn't think either of us got to that point.

Even friends disagree sometimes - of course truce!
• Mery, I know someone who HAD beta fish as the CPs for their wedding, 4 or 5 years ago.

I wasn't there. I met them after the wedding. But the story goes that, once heavily intoxicated at the reception, the groom and his friends (and eventually the bride, I think) ate the fish. Live. Whole.

It's one of the worst things I've heard of for wedding receptions. And I heard about it IRL - not on here.

• Kate, I have to thank you for last night. I haven't slept that good all week. (That whole sentence was a 'that's what she said'). I was trying to keep up with all your drinking. I crashed as soon as I got home. After Dave told me I smelled awful.
