Anyone around?

Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone was on.  The boards have been awfully slow today.  Between that and my fantasy team being terrible its been a pretty boring day and evening. 

I have been looking up new appliances and things I want to buy now after all the ideas earlier though.  I'm pretty sure I'm asking for a food processor

Yeah, or donate it to your soon to be SIL to use as a gift at her shower. 

Was there at least alcohol at the shower?  And was there the diaper game?

We have looked at them at the store several times but have yet to buy one.  I hate right now that we are waiting for almost $2k that we have coming from random things, like our security deposit from the last apartment and stuff.  Moving hasn't been cheap, so H has us living like we are poor for now.  Not fun.

OMG the SIL thing is a great idea.<div>yes, there was alcohol.  Bellinis and champagne.  Thank god, since we were there for 4 freakin hours.  I am absolutely horrible and didn't even buy my gift.  My friend was going to the store yesterday to buy something, and offered to grab some stuff off the registry for me.  Then she wouldn't tell me what the gift was, so I had no idea until they opened it.  Ha.  I had to promise her that I will for sure be buying her shower gift myself.  </div><div>And NO candy bar in the diaper game.  Thank god.  We created our own game at our table:  How long will this shower be?  I lost out on $30 - I guess 3:40 and it ended at 3:48.  So close.</div>

Thats insane that it was that long.  Was it at a house?  I've noticed that showers at people's houses instead of a restaurant seems to take much longer, so I dread those invites.  I know at my shower we all made sure to hurry it along.  It was just over 2 hours and that was with almost 60 women. 

Haha at least you made your own games, sucks you lost the money though.  What did the pot end up being?

Oh it was just $5 a person, so $30 total.  

It was at a restaurant.  It was so slow.

That sucks.  I probably would have found a reason to leave early.  You could have done like that poster said a few days ago and get so drunk you poop your pants.  I left out the sleeping with a caterer since I don't want to promote your infidelity.

I don't think I've ever been that drunk.  And, I'm sure you aren't surprised,  I have been very drunk a few times here and there

I also don't think I have ever been that drunk before.  And surprise surprise, I've had my share of rough nights.  H is definitely worse than me though.  He is notorious for passing out in random places.

Alright I'm off to bed.  I really don't want to go to work tomorrow.  People don't need to have surgery on Columbus Day.  Come on, I should be able to stay home.
