Gift Suggestions for Parents?

Hi Everyone-

I know it's custom to buy parents a gift.  I will be getting married on my parent's 39th wedding anniversary and I want to do something really special for them as a gift... any thoughts?

Re: Gift Suggestions for Parents?

  • My sister gave my parents a nicely framed enlarged photo from their wedding. It was a huge hit.

We are giving my parents several exotic trees for their garden. They spend alot of time out there and we know they will like it.

Maybe go with something related to one of their hobbies...

I know several friends who gave gift certificates to bed and breakfasts or special restaurants.

    good luck!

  • What about a trip?  Weekend getaway to a B&B, GC for dinner, etc.?  Tickets to a show/event?

  • If you want to give a gift card to a B&B but don't want to limit them to a particular one, web sites like http://www.bedandbreakfast.com/ offer gift cards that are accepted at B&Bs across the country.  You can even have your own photo printed on it if you want.  I've given them as gifts to friends before.  The web site has a directory of every B&B/inn that accepts the card if you want to make sure there are some in the area.
