My parents are divorced, and both have remarried. My Mom and step-dad basically raised me, but my Dad is still a huge part of my life, although he lives 1500 miles away. He is footing the whole bill, while my Mom is only buying my dress (which was still pretty expensive) and she's my biggest helper in wedding planning as well. When I went to figure out the invitation wording, I got tripped up.... Who goes on it? Mom? Dad? Both? I do not want to take anything away from my Dad, since he and my step-mom are popping for quite an expensive bill..... but.... I also want to give my Mom and step-dad proper credit for raising me and doing all the planning with me. Who wins? I thought about saying "the Parents of" but that still seems like it might make my Dad feel slighted. What is proper etiquitte? Is it the person who plans the wedding, or pays for it??
