NER: Photos on trial day?

Has anybody aver done this or have opinions on it?

Since everyone is straped for time on the big day would it be weird if I did a photography session of just myself the day of my trial? I could knock off a lot of the photos I want to have done.

Besides the obvious what if you stain your dress kind of thing any other thoughts?

Re: NER: Photos on trial day?

  • It's actually really common where I'm from to do bridal portraits. I did mine on the day of my trial. I had no problems with my dress and I even took a few outside. It's nice to have some really good pictures in my dress while I'm all done up. And I didn't have to take time out of my wedding day for it.
  • The other risks would be changing your mind on your hair, make-up, or jewelry, and the cost of an extra day of the photographer's time. If none of these will be an issue, then go for it.

  • Bridal portraits are pretty common in some areas.  If it works out best for you, go for it.

  • I didn't think about doing that but I think it's a great idea!
  • Those are called bridal portraits. They're very common here. Most brides have them done before the wedding and then put a large framed portrait of themselves somewhere near the cake table. It didn't do that because it's NMS to display something like that at the reception, but I would have absolutely done the portraits themselves if my dress had been ready earlier. Would have saved so much time on the wedding day.
  • That seems like a really good idea.
