head count etiquette

When including dj, photographer, etc into your head count for the caterer, do you also include the bartender? I'm having a brain freeze about this...

Like PP said, if the bartender is provided by the venue, I wouldn't. That was the case with us. He worked for our venue and was being paid and given breaks by them because it's his normal job. We didn't include him in the count or feed him. However, if you are hiring an outside bartender, then I would include and feed him.

ditto PPs - anyone you're hiring outside of the catering contract should be included, but flag them as vendors b/c sometimes they'll offer a discount on those plates, or will prepare something different that's a little easier to eat while working.
