rehearsal dinner vs rehearsal brunch

My younger sister is graduating from high school the afternoon on the day before before our wedding. The venue is booked Saturday evening anyway, so having a rehearsal actually at the venue is out. Is it rude to have rehearsal in the morning and then have a rehearsal dinner instead of a traditional rehearsal dinner? The schedule would then be rehearsal, reherasal brunch, my sister's graduation, then the wedding the next day.

Re: rehearsal dinner vs rehearsal brunch

  • That sounds fine to me, how many OOTers do you have that would like to be at the rehearsal? Like WP members? Evening might be easier for them to make, so if you're fine with them skipping it that sounds fine. Or you could always do the dinner itself at a different spot to celebrate both the wedding and the graduation. Is there an all-night party that your sister is going to? If not I'd go with the dinner, but otherwise brunch sounds fine to me as well.
