DH found some more job openings - so far there are a few in Ohio and TWO in Mass!  And not only in Mass, but one is in Boston and the other one is in Worcester and they're both pretty close to my bro and sil.

He's looking for positions and seeing what would fit.  There was even one in Buffalo, NY, but he knows a guy there who does basically the same stuff, so he doesn't think he'd get the job.  He's going to apply at places that don't have too much teaching and want him to continue his research.  I'm not sure if the 2 Mass schools are perfect, but hopefully they're close enough!

Nope! He is currently duct-taping the holes in the air mattress that the cats made. He still has to clean his man cave. I logged off earlier to clean the bathroom. Fun fun!

I feel bad making it seem like I'm so miserable here.  I have a beautiful apartment, good job, and now I'm making some real friends.  Bryan is doing really great stuff for his career, but I just want to go home.  I hate not fitting in.  I belong in the north east.  I'm not miserable, but I'm not happy and since I know that this is only temporary anyway, it's making me itch to move on.

I will feel bad leaving my kids and new work friends, though.

Well, I only was able to visit her a few times but it seemed nice.  My sister was in Dracut at the time so we were sort of back and forth and all over that area.  I want to do more exploring in the Boston area, for sure.

I completely understand this. I love our apartment (a lot) and while I hate my job it pays really well for what I do but I'm just tired of the heat and I just don't like AZ like I thought I would..

Buffalo is a nice, family-friendly city.

I LOVE Mass. FI grew up there. His parents moved there from Iowa and also loved it enough - to stay almost 40 years. I really wouldn't mind living in Boston someday. No offense to anyone, but I think New England is better than Ohio!

I'd lovelovelove to live in Boston, no matter impractical it may be.  It would quench my city urge, since I never had enough guts to take a year off and live in Manhattan and just be young...noooo, I had to do the responsible thing and get a job right away.  *sigh*

I'd be happy being in the area, though, because I'm a suburbanite at heart.

I think that Worcester has like the most colleges in one town, EVER.  They're everywhere.  I will also say that they have an EXCELLENT hospital.  My mom had open heart surgery there and she was so well cared for.  Lastly, you are close to NH where there is no tax at the shopping mall!
