Well I got them a cute personalized Penn State onesie - against my better Big 10 judgement.  And I got my friend a gift certificate for a massage or pedicure, whatever she wants.  So those will come to the shower.  

I'm usually an early gift buyer!  I think I'm showered out this year.  Plenty more baby showers to come

That stinks.  I'm definitely done with anything shower or wedding related for a while.  My friend just had her second baby so I have to get him something.  I won't see him until Christmas though so I have some time.

I'm almost finished with wedding showers.  2 more next year I think.  Did I tell you that apparently I'm in BIL's wedding?  Great.  Thought I was done with that too.  Oh well. Now all the baby showers are starting.  I'm really hoping my SIL gets pregnant soon!  Poor thing....  they've been trying for quite awhile.  I am terrified that I will get pregnant before her.

Yeah I think you did tell me you were in your BILs wedding.  Did they actually ask you?  My getting asked for the wedding was literally: "BIL wants all these people as his GMs and I just don't know that many people.  So if he asks all of them and I don't have enough, will you be a BM?"  Wow, way to make a girl feel special!

This is how I found out:

H:  I think FSIL is going to ask you to be in the wedding.

Me:  Oh, why do you think that?

H:  My brother told me.

Me. Oh... I've met her 3 times.

H:  They want to keep everything very family oriented.

So... ok.  I suppose it's better than leaving me alone with the ILs for the whole day.

yeah i dunno. it's halfcocked shiit talk at the moment. we just saw some floating furniture in a movie and got inspired.

I haven't been to a shower of any kind since January and I think my own will be the first unless I go to my friends in portland in January. I'm not a big fan of most showers anyways I can't stand the games that are played at them.

Jill - I can just see myself floating around on a couch, watching a movie with a drink in hand.  Perfection.

Ciara - luckily, the showers I have been to haven't done silly games lately.  If I ever went to a shower again with the candy bar in the diaper game, I may just vomit.
