Wow. 

My husband saw it over at a friend's house and said it was horrible and depressing.  He's a guy so I didn't give his review too much thought... 

But it was so sad.  In the end when she's walking down the street, she IS victorious.  But it's 1987 and she's HIV+.  So she has what, 2-3 years?  So sad

Actually, it's doing better, but I'm still cautious of thinking I've found the cure...  It's been a week or so since I cut out dairy, and I'm not seeing much new stuff, but it could also be because of where I am in my cycle, hormonally.  After a full month, I should know whether it's working

It was sad and depressing. I was hoping for a super happy ending... like freedom writers.

Read A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown.  I haven't read Push or seen Precious, but just from the plot summaries I've read Precious ain't got nothin' on Cupcake Brown.

I just watched this with FI and his friend.  We couldn't believe how incredibly sad it was.
