Considering your wedding is coming up quite quickly, I would give him a deadline as to when you need names and addresses.  Depending on how labor intensive your invitations are, make this deadline a week-2 weeks before you actually mail them out.

Would it be easier to go to your stepmom for this information?

Yup - you're going to have to give them a deadline.  Invitation need to be in the mail by "x-date" so I need your lists including addresses by X-2weeks date.".

Honestly?  If it were me, I'd call my dad and ask for the names and addresses of his friends, if he still wants them to be invited.  I would give him a deadline (no more than a week) and be very calm about it.  At the end of the conversation, I'd probably say, "When I address invitations on Sunday, if I don't have your info, your friends will not be invited."

So your invitations would go out around the end of June. 
Your dad probably has no idea why you need this information at the end of APRIL.

Well she kind of needs to know how many invitations to order.  I think she's close enough to request a guest list.  

OP, I agree with most PP's that you just need to give him a date and stick to it.  Let him know that no names can be added after that date so you can get everything in order.
