Let me start off by saying my family is HUGE. My dad is helping out by paying for a lot of the wedding and he is being very generous. As we all know, weddings are EXPENSIVE and he cannot just shell out for the whole thing.
We are inviting immediate family, close family, friends, etc. We are not inviting extended family that we rarely see or talk to. My question is regarding plus ones....we plan on only inviting people with dates if they have a significant other. We cannot really afford to invite everyone with a plus one (almost all of my friends and a lot of cousins are single). I do not see the reason to spend money (that we really do not have) on dates that we do not even know. Is this poor ettiquete? Everyone in a relationship gets their s/o invited. Also, I have one friend coming from Kansas (the wedding is in FL) and I am inviting her with a plus one. I cannot see her traveling all that way alone!
