Evening ladies!

How is everyone this evening?

H and I went out for a bit earlier to this new used bookstore in town. I got a few new books for my classroom, yay! I managed to get ALL the laundry done, folded and put away, which is a good thing. I don't want to see anymore laundry for a week now. I must have done 8 loads between today and yesterday.

We are pretty much just having a lazy night. H is really tired, hasn't been sleeping well. He says he can't get used to this new place. I like it a lot better & have no problems sleeping.

Re: Evening ladies!

  • Evening! I decided to drown my sorrows of missing our friend's holiday party tonight by drinking. I've finished a bottle of Riseling and popped a bottle of sparkling wine. I'm probably going to regret it tomorrow.

I've been doing some research for our honeymoon. FMIL sent her prelim guest list tonight and it got me in the planning mood.
  • H cant sleep anywhere new either.  Took him weeks to get a good nights sleep in our new townhouse.  Men.... I swear they are such creatures of habit its insane.

We are drinking and watching a UFC pay per view- fun times.  H never drinks unless were at home because he is always the DD.

  • I"m weird about pillows. Mine was pretty old and beaten up and FI forgot his in a hotel when he went to see the Colts play awhile back. I bought new pillows and I can't seem to sleep the whole night through yet with them. My neck ends up hurting after awhile. I wish my neck wasn't so high maintenance.
  • I drank Relax Riesling! It's my favorite.
  • I thought about having a drink, but I have to work my other job in the morning, which sucks. I may just wait until either tomorrow night or one night this week. I think I may hop in the shower soon.

Yeah, I think he needs some new pillows, but until he gets used to sleeping in this place, I don't know if it would be a good idea to throw new pillows into the mix. MIL keeps saying to try those Memory Foam pillows, but I hear such mixed reviews on them from various people.
  • I'm not a fan of memory foam pillows. I'm personally a fan of the alternative down pillows because you can shape them the way you want them.

My problem is I'm a side and back sleeper. I need a different pillow for when I sleep on my side and back, but there's not enough room now for multiple pillows now that I have FI and Oz in the bed.
  • I may or may not have just cracked open my second bottle of wine...maybe. But yes, definitely
  • Birdie- king size bed- get one, they are live changing.  H, 2 yr old DD and 115 lb rottweiler can all in our bed comfortably... its amazing.

OMG golden I want one soooo bad. However, we have a few things working against us.

I had a queen size bed when we moved into our house together. We got a new bedroom set around 2 years ago now to fit the mattress we had. This past spring or so I flipped out and couldn't take our old matress anymore, so now we have a new bedroom set and a new mattress and I wish we would have bought both at the same time so we could upgrade to a king.

We also have limited space in our current house. It's going to be at least 2 years until we can get a larger bed. :( I'm constantly fighting for elbow room with FI and Oz.
  • Best mattress ever: Simmons Beuregard. I sleep like a freaking baby. I'm not a Temperpedic fan, even if FI is a furniture salesman. I don't like how far I sink down
  • K I'm off to bed. Gotta claim my spot. Night ladies!
  • Evening! I'm feeling much better tonight. Work was long but that is normal. I'm just glad I have tomorrow off to relax.

  • I want a queen or king size bed soooooooo freaking bad. We just don't have the money right now. H is a big guy and I always feel like I am squished. We had a king on the HM and I thought I was in Heaven.

Ciara - glad you are feeling better :)

Ok ladies, so all this talk of wine made me finish off a bottle that has been opened for a while. I need to relax for a few before bed.
  • Goodnight!

    Talk with you ladies tomorrow.
  • Hey all!  Late to  the party tonight.  Had a situation as soon as I got into work.  And before work I was napping and having dinner with H.
  • I thought I'd chime in about the Reisling. have you guys tried Bex? It's one of the best Reisling's I've ever had and reasonably priced ;)
