AW/Entertainment: More dresses

So I thought I had one picked out, but I went back to try it on again and they had sold it off the rack and not gotten the new one in yet.  So I tried on a few new dresses and now I have no idea, once again.  So here are the two new contenders :)

This is currently #3, I think.  It was too big, and it looked a lot better when she pulled it tight.  But I didn't get a picture of that, of course!

This is sadly the best picture of the back of this one I have.

I really, really like this one.  I don't like it as much in the picture, but at the shop I thought it might be "the dress".

So I pretty much just posted this for entertainment since Julez told me to :)  So tell me I'm pretty!  Haha...juuuuust kidding!

Re: AW/Entertainment: More dresses

  • Oooooh I like the first one a lot better than the second one! But it's all about how you feel in it.
  • In person, the second one looked better.  We all agreed, including all 5 bored consultants at the shop!  Haha.
  • The one with the straps is my favourite, I love the detail in the back. I like that one best.
  • Ooo I like these too.  I think the top one is my favorite from this round.  My favorite is still the grecian style gown you liked so much.  It's so striking and different and looked fabulous on you.

    And, of course, you're pretty!
  • I like the back of the last one but the sweetheart neckline of the first one.  They all look really nice on you though

  • It's cool, Nebb, because that darker area is meshy, with beading.  It looks really cool in person.

And for those of you that missed it, here's the original favorite that Julez mentioned

And thanks Julez, you're pretty too :)
  • I like both on you.

    I am no help.

  • The back of the third one is beautiful, but I actually like the way that the first one looks from the front a little more.
  • What I don't like about the first one is that it's heavy and the train is too long and I'd likely have to cut it off.  The second one is light, and the train is long, but there's very little fabric and a simple bustle could be put it in for me to wear all day.

Of course, the original favorite best fits the "feel" of our wedding.

    Annnnddd I think I'm overthinking ;)
  • I actually dont like the sweetheart neckline on you as much as the one with straps, I dont know what it is about that dress but I dont think it is as flattering as the others. I still vote the one with straps :)
  • I felt the same way, Nebb.  I didn't want to take it off, and I felt like it was "the one" but I knew if I ordered it without trying on the one strap one again I'd always wonder.  And since I have lots of time, I can afford to wait until they get another sample of that one in.  They're even ordering it in my size.  This place rocks.
  • I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of your original favourite, either- something about it doesn't look right to me. The others you've posted here are nicer on you, imo. :)
  • I don't like the picture much either, Sun.  I remember really liking it in person, and being really disappointed with the picture.  Which is why I wanted to try it on again.
  • the one in the last pic is ok. the 1st 2 pics are horrid. especially the 2nd pic. yecchhhh.
  • I like the second one, the one with the straps.  The first one, if we're being honest, you aren't curvy enough for.  It makes your butt look totally flat.  I think you could find something better than those three, but if you have to have one of those three, I pick #2.

  • It's funny you say that, Dani, I actually have big hips/butt for my size.  It could be the poor fit of the dress that makes my butt look flat or just the way it's cut/where it hits--but I agree, it does look completely flat and it looks funny.
  • Somehow I missed this last night, so this is super late, but I agree with Nebb that the second one is the best. I love the detail and the cut is perfect for you. The ruching and the low back are very flattering. Plus I'm thinking, movement-wise, the Grecian one might be restricting and the first one might feel weird at the place it hits the hip. I can totally see you floating around in the second one for the whole night though, and it will look good and be comfortable as you hug and dance and so forth. Buy it, buy it! :)
