Mothers' Day

Our wedding is Mothers' Day weekend, and there will be lots of moms in attendance.  I would like to do something to honor that, if I can come up with something that is budget friendly and still sweet, but not weird or tacky. 

Thoughts?  Suggestions?

How about a pretty welcome table centerpiece of carnations or roses (depending on your budget) with a note offering one flower to every mother?

Or, a small flower at each placesetting for a mom, with a little note. You could even note their placecards with a Happy Mother's Day message.

Good Mother - Jann Arden

This song makes me bawl like a baby.  We played it at my mom's funeral.  It's such a great song. 

I would give them a cupcake in a to go box.  So it'd be like an extra favour.  And I would also play the song if the song didn't make me want to lay in my bed and cry for hours.

Roses can be expensive! (esp if there's lot of moms out there!) 

I really like the song idea. It's free but thoughtful. It's really about your wedding, not mother's day, so doing something like this is really sweet. Roses I think is a little too much, considering that weddings are expensive already!

DH and I edited together a bunch of old family movies of me and my mom for her 60th and used Taylor Swift's "The Best Day."
