My FI's long time friend is getting married on Sat. On the website under gift registries they put that they would like to recieve monetary gifts because it "tradition" in the Japanese culture and they want to use it on their HM to Italy.
To me this is super tacky....
They did register for a few small items at Amazon and Target. All little dinky things like salt shakers, gloves, dishtowels.
They are not "just starting off" but own a home, ones a doctor, the other is a teacher and they travel the world like all the time.
Should we give a cash gift, if so how much?
Or buy something from the registry and if so how many items since they are all under $20???
Did I mention we have a 3 hour gap between the ceremony & reception? Ugghh!!
