Wow.

I have to say, if my cousin wanted to get married a week before me I'd be a bit upset too.

I'd want her to be back from her honeymoon for one.  Beyond that, I think that two weddings so close together can create stress on some family members.  That makes two shot weekends in a row and the expense of gifts, etc.  They're not required but the average person does see them as things that have to be purchased.

It really seems like you're trying to justify your wants by calling them needs.  You have tons of options but you're stomping your feet a bit too much.
