I am having a Catholic ceremony at my church, and will be having the reception at a different location. The ceremony is from 2:00-3:00ish and the reception will probably start at 5:00 maybe 6:00.
I am on a linited budget and have found a caterer that is perfect and less then $25 a person, but now I need to find a reception location that will let me bring my own caterer. I am hoping for an outdoor/barn casual wedding but the types of locations I am looking for are all within a 35-45 minute drive from my ceremony location because I live in very populated suburbs with party centers and banquest halls that are $40-$50 a person. I simply cannot afford that.
Back to my question, do you think a 45 minute drive to the reception is too far ? My mom says yes and my dad says if its what you can afford then go for it. he says if people dont want to drive that far then they just wont come. I cant afford whats close, and what I can afford is too far away. What do you think ?
